Privacy Policy

Scoric is a free football quiz site. This policy explains what we store, which providers process data on our behalf, and how you can change your choices at any time.

1. Information we collect

We collect a random session identifier stored in your browser (used to stop the same device voting or submitting twice), your gameplay data (quiz scores, answers given, streaks, the nickname you choose for leaderboards), your language and theme preference, and basic usage statistics such as page views and clicks. We do not ask for your name, address or payment details, and we do not run user accounts for players.

2. How we use it

To run and improve the games, keep leaderboards fair, prevent duplicate votes and abuse, produce aggregate statistics about which quizzes work well, and — if you allow it — to measure site usage and show advertising.

3. Who processes your data

We do not sell your personal data. Besides Scoric, these providers process data when you use the site: Supabase (our hosting and database provider) stores gameplay data, leaderboard nicknames and session identifiers on our behalf; Google Analytics measures site usage — before you accept analytics cookies it runs in a limited, cookieless mode that sends only anonymous statistics, and full measurement runs only if you accept analytics cookies; Google AdSense serves advertising, and only runs if you accept advertising cookies. Google may process your device and browsing data as described in its own policies, and may use cookies to show and measure ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Publicly shared data (leaderboards, vote totals) shows only the nickname you chose and aggregate counts.

4. Cookies and advertising

Essential storage (language, theme, gameplay progress, consent choice) is always used and does not require consent. Analytics and advertising cookies only run after you accept them in the cookie banner. Until then, the Google Analytics and Google AdSense scripts are not loaded and Google's consent signals are set to denied. You can review or change your choice at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer and in the games.

5. Your choices and rights

You can accept or reject non-essential cookies at any time, clear the data stored in your browser, and ask us to delete gameplay data linked to your session identifier or leaderboard nickname. If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland you also have the right to access, correct and erase data, and to complain to your national data protection authority. Write to us and we will act on the request.
