What is Tenaball? How to Play and Win

Tenaball is the flagship game mode on Scoric, and it is deceptively simple. You are shown a category — say, "Top 10 Premier League Scorers in 2024/25" — and your job is to name all ten players in the ranked list before running out of lives.

The rules are straightforward. Type a player's name into the input field. If they appear in the top 10, they lock into their correct position on the list. If they do not appear, you lose a life. You start with a limited number of lives, and the quiz ends when either you have found all ten players or you have used every life.

What makes Tenaball addictive is the gap between what you think you know and what you actually know. Most players can name the top three or four immediately. The challenge is in positions five through ten — the players you half-remember, the ones who had that one great season, the names sitting just at the edge of your memory.

Strategy matters. Start with the names you are most confident about to build momentum. Then use the visible gaps in the ranked list to reason about who might be missing. If positions one and three are filled but two is blank, think about who sat between those two players in real life.
